My husband has been diagnosed with an L5-S1 ruptured disk. We have heard so many things from different sources, we don't what to expect. He has been off work 4 weeks now resting and on pain med. but not much better at all. He has quite a bit of pain in his back and right leg; tingling and numbness in his leg and foot. It is taking several weeks more to get into a neurosurgeon-that seems to be the norm. Has anyone has some success with laser surgery and this particular disk? It sounds as if he may always have some back problems and remember to take good care of it. Any ideas or suggestions?
