I know what you mean! The pain can be so unbearable sometimes and my family just can't understand. They are very supportive, but at times I think they get tired of hearing about it. It makes for a very lonely existence. The worst is doctors who don't care. I am lucky though, I found a great doctor who understands and never questions me when the pain becomes so unbearable that I have to ask for a stronger pain medicine. Today most doctors treat you like a drug addict if you even mention pain medicine. If you ever feel like interstitial cystitis is getting the better of you and there is no one you can talk to, feel free to email me. It is important to have someone to talk to. This disease can make a person very depressed.
