I have a son recently diagnosed with 47XYY syndrome when looking for Klinefelters Syndrome. Aspergers is a common disorder found with Sex Chromosome disorders. A blood test for chromosomal analysis can determine if he has Klinefelters or other disorder. No matter what the doctors say (some may resist testing) you should insist if you feel it is needed. I beleived doctors for years despite my gut feeling that what they said was not exactly right. You know your son best and if the advise does not seem right, keep going until it does. You will be more help to your son and family if you get proper help. My son is almost 19 and we spent many frustrated years of searching for answers and help. We wanted him to be able to reach his maximum potential, whatever that may be, and did not get that for him.
