Dear Doctors, please give your export suggestion and opinion for following problem: your little help may save the life of suffer. Mr.Suraj, age 18, male, had frequent ear infection upto the age of 5 years. Afterward there was no problem. One year ago he was diagnosed as tympanosclerosis of both ear. Deafness was ++ in both ear Audiogram: 58.3 db(R), 58.3db (LT) He had an operation of repairing the tympanic membrane and removal of all assicles of left ear 6 months back and planned to do ossiculoplasty after 6 months of first surgery. Unfortunately, when time comes for the operation, one ENT Surgeon from the abroad did not suggest for the second surgery (ossiculoplasty). He said no worth of doing operation except risk. His deafness after the first operation of left ear was more worse than before. Deafness is increased to ++++ from the ++ and Audiogram 81.6db from the 58.3db. Now I am in big worry: Was the performed surgical operation not indicative? Is there any solution for this problem? Or this young brillient boy has to stay deaf for his whole life? Please send your valuable suggestions. Thanking you Shrijana
