Hi Nicki! My son was diagnosed with PA two years ago when he was 17 years old. You are the first mother I have ever been in contact with who has a young boy with PA. I didn't think there were any others and have felt so isolated as I'm sure my son feels from time to time. PA seems to be rare in teenage boys--at least that's what his rheumatologist says and indeed what we have found. He is currently taking Arava and has Remicade infusions every 8 weeks. He has flares when it is really cold. He's a freshman at a college near the beach and the coastal weather is better for his PA it seems. Please respond!
