Hi Lisa, thank you for your reply. I do know about LDL Apheresis, unfortunately my late husband did not have the opportunity to undergo this treatment. However, my sister-in-law who also has Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia is undergoing LDL Apheresis and she is doing these treatments weekly. She's doing really good on it and is improving dramatically. Her xanthomas are almost gone which is something that she is very happy about. My son was diagnosed with Heterozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia and is doing fine. I'm working on lowering his LDL levels, but it's tougher though with kids. But he will not be needing LDL Apheresis but the doctor's are encouraging me to put him on medication in about another year or so. So, I'm glad I'm not completely left in the dark about this disease, heck, I know alot for 19 don't I :) Thanks again Lisa. Eleanor
