i can see why they have allowed the bowel to rest and hopefully repair. did they preform the surgery at the same time as the colostomy? this sometimes happens after a birth of a child. i guess my other question why did you have such a large tearing? did the doctor repair it at that time? There is a surgery that can be preformed from usuing some muscle from the anterior wall to support and repair the fistula. have they done this?
