j barnes: i'm so sorry that your daughter has jme. i realize that your message was posted a few years ago, but i'm very curious about the lamictal you'd intended to try on your daughter's jme. has it been working? my son has jme also. he is on depakote but is still having "breakthrough" seizures which affects everything he does and prevents him from doing things that most youngsters his age are supposed to be doing. i would really appreciate knowing if you've found better results with the lamictal. the doctor tending to my son says that depakote is the "drug of choice" for jme, but if it doesn't work completely, what good is it? good luck to your daughter and your family. i feel for her. this is very difficult and it makes me angry at everything and everyone that my son has to live like this.
