Deb
Has anyone had the symptons of: lower leg pain in both legs, hip pain, ankle pain, difficulty walking for long periods of time without sitting, relief from bending over and touching toes, pain in the middle of the back from sway back too. Podiatrist thought it was my high arches and made special orthodics desined for my foot. Didn't help for long. I have tried Celebrex, muscle relaxers, anti-inflammitory pills, various shoes (Rockport, Dansk, New Balance) that have helped for a short period of time. Then, I went to an Orthopaedic leg doctor. We took an MRI of my ankle and it was normal. He said I may have fibromayalga. After many hours on the computer, I learned that my pain resided in the area of the L5. I had to make more doctor appointments to get the referral to the Orthopaedic Spine doctor. He felt that I needed an MRI of my lumbar spine. It is scheduled. He thinks my condition is spinal stenosis. If you have my condition, please let me know what procedure worked for you. Benefits and risks of some type of lumbar spinal stenosis surgery would be greatly appreciated. I am 27 and feel this to be too young an age for such leg problems. No exercise heals it, just temporarily relieves it, so I don't see how physical therapy will do much good. I have actively been seeking medical help for 6 months, but the pain has been present for two years. Let me know if you can be of any assitance. Thank you!! Sincerely, Olivia
