Hello- I am Sandy, and I was diagnosed 10 years ago. My life has been different ever since I was diagnosed. The good news is there are many medications to treat this disease. Time will tell your prognosis. Your VO2 test will tell you when your husband has deteriorated enough to perhaps need a heart transplant. However, 1/3 of the people recover and are fine!!!!! 1/3 remain the same and 1/3 deteriorate. Those aren't bad odds- 2/3 survival. THere are many survivors so keep the faith.
