I was in an accident a year ago and I had kidney failure causing me to lose one kidney. The doctors were so concerned with other more important areas of recovery, they did not talk to me about my kidneys; other than to watch my blood pressure. I heard that birth control can affect your blood pressure and I figured that it would not be good for my one kidney. Please respond. I asked the gyno and of course she told me it was alright. I think her main concern was that I was practicing planned parenting.
