Recently went to doctors with congested ear problems..they drained excess wax in left ear resulting in some blood in exterior ear canal..that has stopped..there is no pain..i was perscribed ear drops and told that the ear drum was irrated at the time but not punctured. however it has been a week and it is still full and has some clear liquid in it..also taking decongestants as prescribed but it still feels full. When i hold my nose and blow i do hear whistling and crackling noises but nothing comes out..could it now be perferated? they told me to stick with treatment and wait another week before returning to check it. What is the sign of a punctured ear drum? thanks dave
