I am a single mother of a six year old son with autism. I am almost one hundred percent certain I am acarrier of this gene. Due to the fact there is ahistory of retardation on my mothers side of the family. My question is what do I do to continue to help my son. He excels in school very well, but his speach needs improvement although he does talk. I just need some advice sometimes his situation is very depressing and i blame myself. The only support Iget is from his father. The three of us deal with this all alone. I just was hoping to get some advice from some parents who have been dealing with this situation longer than I have. all suggestions are welcome Thanks in advance.
