I, too, experienced bothersome ringing in both ears about five years ago. I searched for months for an answer(cure)and finally went the the Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Center in Baltimore (affiliated with University of Maryland). I was tested and fitted with maskers which provided me with some relief almost immediately. At least it provided me with a more pleasant noise to listen to. After a little over a year of wearing these devices the ringing was completely erased. It was, in my estimation, a miracle! Anyone bothered by this affliction should definately look into this. There are two websites to investigate, the one in Baltimore and the one at Emory University headed by Dr. Pawel Jasterboff. Don't let people say nothing can be done. It's just not true!
