My husband has had severe arthritis in his hip since his diagnosis when he was 30. Physician said he had the hip of a 70 year old at that time. The physician also suggested to wait as long as possible before replacement because of the need for additional replacement surgeries. He is now 43 and had been in pain for a long time. We are wondering what is the best type of hip replacment, how did you find the best physician and what are the downsides that we should be aware of?
