My 16 year old son had a fontan procedure at age 4. The last couple of years he has been plagued with low protein levels. In fact, the levels continue to go down. In an effort to raise his levels we are currently giving him heparin shots each day and IV infusions of albumin twice a week. At this time we're very frustrated that nothing appears to be raising his levels. We are open to any suggestions.
