After years of low back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, numbing fingers during sleep, migraines, interupted sleep, and numbing ankles and shins during workouts, I finally got an MRI that indicated several herniated disks: C6, C7, T11, T12, L4, and L5. (I even had a breast reduction thinking it was the cause of the pain!) I'm going to see a neurosurgeon soon. What should I expect during that visit? Is it possible to fix the problem and go back to living a normal life? Or, is this a disease that is only going to progess? Any tips or information will be appreciated. I would simply like to go back to normal living which includes my tennis and aerobic activities.
