Hi, our son was diagnosed with Congenital Motor Nystagmus when he was six months old. He has been enrolled in a toddler program at school since he was 13 months. We are now beginning to see some difficulties emerging due to his condition. He has to get up and move around the room to find a spot that he can focus from and is defiant when the teachers try to make him sit in one spot. He has difficulty looking up at sound cards and work on the chalk board. We have noticed a little difficulty with his ability to calm down. He has trouble walking and feels the need to run most times. We wonder if this could be due to the constant motion of his eyes. Have you experienced anything similar? Good Luck!!
