My husband was diagnosed with pc in May of 2000, after loosing 50 pounds, not being able to eat and constant diarreah. In Aug 2000 they performed surgery in the hopes that they could do the Whipple but unfortunatly the cancer had spread to the lymph nodes, aorta, and bile duct. We have been in two clinical trials, gemcydabin & mta and after 4 monthes gmc 590. Side effects are minimul, he has gained 35 pounds and is doing well. So you see there is hope and miracles do happen. We are waiting for the silver bullet that will shrink this monster, according to the prognosis he was not going to make it thru christmas. We are very hopefull and pray that God will guide us and continue to give us strength to continue our fight. AS of today I feel we have a success story and I hope it will give hope and determination to others.
