My Husband had a colectomy for cancer two years ago and had chemo for six months 5fu, He had prostate cancer a year ago and in August, they found a cancer tumor in his liver-over 1/3 of his liver was removed. The Dr wants to give him more chemo, is recommending a continous infusion of 5fu for four weeks , followed by a two week rest, then repeat for 4 cycles or camptosar, an injection weekly for four weeks with a two week reat period for 4 cycles. It is his choice to decide which one to take. Has anyone had either the continous infusion or camptosar? Could You tell me something about it? Thanks.
