Hello, I am 16 years old right now, and I have had hidradenitis since I noticed something was odd about me at the age of 10. It has become progressively worse as each year goes by! I have had no surgery, but I am taking birth control pills to help it (prescribed by the doctor for treatment). Unfortunately, they haven't seemed to help! Does anyone know anything that can help me? I feel like I'm not a "whole" person and am often very depressed over this situation. I'm young and have my whole life ahead of me. But, the only thing I can see in my future is this disease and that really scares me! I really don't know what I'm asking, but I feel there's someone out there who can help me. Thanks for letting me vent out my problem, and any help would be greatly appreciated right now for I'm at my wits' end with this! God Bless~Veronica
