my wife was just diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy. She just had a baby 8 days ago and it was pure hell to go through. She is on four different medications. One of which is used to slowly strengthen the left ventrical and another is used to shrink it back to a normal size. I watched when we went to the emergency room in horror as my wife was slowly slipping away. Her heart rate went from 56 bpm to 173 bpm in a matter of seconds. Luckily she had a strong will to live and everything turned out fine so far. She had a catheder to her heart and was later diagnosed with this impairment.
