I too had scarlet fever when I was very young and my mother told me we were quarantined by the doctor (this was in the 40's). I too suffer aches and pains every day of my life. The pain feels as though it is muscular and is accompanied by stiffness. Nothing makes it go away but rest, warmth, and gentle stretching do make me feel better. Work is torture but work I must to support myself...so I do. But beyond that I have no life, no energy to give to anything but sedentary activity. How I would love to be like others! If you ever find a cure, I'll buy it! Whether this is a result of scarlet fever or not, I just want to get rid of the pain. May God bless you and me and make us well.
