I am 50+ years old. Just four years ago I found out I was positive for the gene HLA-B27. Since collagen lip injections, four years ago, I have had alot of pain most everywhere and have been diagnosed with several autoimmune diseases. But my MRI and X-rays do no show AS in the sacroilliac joints. At best doctors say, I have musculoskeletal disease or inflamatory arthritis or fibromyalgia. I wonder is it posible to get AS at over 50? I have not read this any where. J.W. mom@wci.net
