I was found to have AN in both hips in January 2000. The left hip is 50% infected and the right hip is 15%. I had a bone core decompression on the left one in March. The operation was a breeze. No pain medication was even used. I was on a walker for a little while to keep from bearing weight on that side but, except for slowing me down, there were no problems. At this time it seems quiet sucessful for the pain is almost all gone. I am to have a MRI in Sept to re-evaluate the surgery and to monitor the right hip to see if it has gotten worse to where I am going to have a bone core done on it also. I live in Fort Smith Arkansas but did use a doctor in Little Rock Arkansas by the name of Dr. Carl Nelson. He came very highly reccommented. I am back to normal activities now and doing great.
