In 1986 I had an ethmoidectomy and in 1990 a Caldwell Luc. The hole closed up long ago and although the ethmoidectomy was very helpful, I think the Caldwell Luc was a waste of time that left me with severe nerve pain in my upper teeth. At first the teeth were numb for months after the surgery. When the nerves grew back, they were hypersensitive. To this day, no amount of novocaine can numb even the mildest dental work, such as teeth cleaning. Good luck to you.
