Hi Jason- I don't feel like dealing with this problem either! I thought I was stressed before this happened, but now I realize that all the problems I had before were actually minor and TEMPORARY- in time, all those problems would work themselves out. But now I feel like a have a real problem because this may be permanent. My doctor gave me a lecture basically telling me to chill out because this is not life threatening and will not limit me in life. But it already IS limiting me. I gave up tickets to a concert, I'm afraid to listen to my discman or even my stereo too loudly, and I'm always asking others to turn down the t.v. because sometimes I get really sensitive to noise. But then I have quiet and that's no good either because it makes the ringing more noticeable! I don't know what the answer is, but it is good to chat with you and others who deal with this. What do you do to deal with this? Any suggestions would be great. Oh yeah, supposedly sugar, smoking and drinking make tinnitus worse too. Great, I guess the party's over. Have you experienced that?
