My face and nose is red. I was being called Rudolph at work. Doctors said I had rosacea and suggested I see an allergest. I was diagnosed with allergies to oak trees, dogs and dust. I also saw a rheumatoid doctor for possible lupus. I went to the emergency room on 8/4/00 because my jaw and tongue were numb. Face was swollen so bad it was hard to see. I have swollen bags under my eyes and the skin is hard near the nose. After a CT scan, I was diagnosed with facial cellulitis. Hospitalized for 4 days with IV antibotics every 8 hours. It is 8/19 and I am on home IV every 8 hours until 8/25. The infection does not appear to be deminishing. The doctors do not seem to know what caused the infection. Has anyone had facial (nose & cheeks are involved) cellulitis? I would like to hear from you. What symptoms and treatment did you experience?
