I Just had this experience in Jan 2001 I just had a baby thru c-section and got the clot that way.The best advice i can give you is anytime you have any pain go immediatly to your Dr. and if you have ANY swelling go to get a ultra sound.Thats how they found mine.I went to the Dr. 5 times and they kept sending me home. Finally a friend of mine who had one told me what to ask for becouse she had one.Thank God. They found it in 2 minutes with the ultra sound. Also ask your Dr. about preventing a clot thru good circulation..travel and tight clothing.Im going to get a umbrella which helps the blood flow only one way to prevent it moving up. Ask them about that but i think you have to have one to get that. Also maybe they can talk to you about a mild blood thinner if you have circulation problems. You have to be cautious but with imformation you CAN help yourself So keep asking questions Prevention is the best medicine. If you wait to see the Dr. you can have a BIG problem. If you ever have the pain again get in that minute to see them or go to the emergency room.Mine just felt like a knot in the back of my calf my leg did swell. They say it gets hot and red but mine didnt do that until 5 days later in the hospital when i had 0 circulation in my leg. Please dont wait if you have any signs...if he cant fit you in see some one else.I hope this helps you and i pray you never have to go thru this.:)
