I know how you feel. when i delivered my baby 9 months ago i became very ill. i was diagnosed with everyhting under the sun except a blood clot. finally, when my baby was 10 days old i was rushed to the er and found out i had a blood clot that started at my knee and went up to my belly button, it was on its way to my heart, they finally did something. i was given a 20% chance of living the night. i have had panic attacks for about the last 5 years and it really causes mr alot of trouble. i feel as if at times i am never taken seriously. everyhting is always put off because i have anxiety attacks, they seem to think this is the root of all my problems. which it never is. i finally since my blood clot have a doctor that takes everyhting i say seriously. i am terrified of having a pe, when i had my bvlood clot procedure done i had a vena cava filter placed at the base of my heart, which in short will catch blood clots from going to my heart or lungs, but i still run the risk of getting clots in my arms and then them traveling to my lungs, i have no protection from that. it is absolutely terrifing to feel like you can't breath and you don't know if its panic or and embolli. i feel so sorry fro you. i am in the same boat as you. you need to find a good cardiologist and have arterail and veinous scans of your arms and legs. this will tel you if there are any clots now, and you will find out what you need to be taking. if you are prone to clots or have a clotting disorder you need to be on coumadin and monitored monthly. if you could write me back and tell me where you llive i can help you find a cardiologist in your area or surrounding area that is rating in the top. it is so easy to let the fear consume you, but you have to try to cope. i am terrified of dying, i have three children an eight year old a two year old and my baby who is 9 months. they are all girls. i have no one who i can talk to really aside from my husband bi=ut he doesn't understand, you know? know can understand what i have been through and probably never will. pleases write me back. you really should be under a doctors care. 20% of all women who are pregnant or who have recently delivered develop blood clots. you never know. i will pray for you. in telling my story and hearing someone else's i feel better. please write soon
