Dear friends: Your father should see a urologist that understands and is sympathetic to his pain. I am a 65 y.o. woman with I.C. since I was in my mid 30s. I had reconstruction surgery of the bladder and since then I have been living a very close to normal life. The pain is completely gone and even though I have to visit the restroom many times, I had relief from the pain. That was my worst problem.
