I have had progressive focal dystonia on the right side of my back for almost three years. It causes me to tilt badly to the right and I cannot straighten up. I have seen three neurologists all of whom have told me that there is no cure for this. They have given me all of the different drugs which are available. I have tried each for several months and they have not helped. The only therapy that seems to help partially is botulin injections which I receive every three months.I have had intensive accupuncture treatment which has not helped. I have also had intensive physical therapy for many months and this has only helped me get stronger but does not help the tilting to the right. I am going to see an orthopedic doctor to see if some kind of brace can help. My doctors tell me that my condition is very rare and that each one has only seen a few cases like mine. They are all very competent but each has the same response. Does anyone have a similar condtion and have you had any results from treatment?
