Those suffering from fibromyalgia should not think about disability until they have actively paarticipated in a physical therapy program consisting of light aerobic exercise and stretching. If it is done properly, it will be helpful. The have been proven to help the symptoms. Very few people should get to the point of needing to go on disability if they participate in all of the recommended treatment protocols. If you rely on medication you will not get better. You also need to make sure you are getting the proper amount of sleep. If not, you may need to be evaluated by a sleep center.
