My 3 1/2 year old son has a terminal illness "Infantile Battens Disease" and he takes medication and is very constipated. We have tried everything for relief of this but nothing seems to work. The only thing that really has work is MIRALAX, it is a prescription medication and comes in powder form but you just either mix it with juice, water, milk etc and within 1 to 3 days you should have some relief. You are then suppose to take it every morning from then on but if your stools get too loose you can either cut the dose in half or take it every other day etc. It is kind of a trial and error thing until you get the dose down pat. Thanks
