My son died at 16 months old in Dec of 99. The father did this to my son and is now in jail for 2nd degree murder. 2nd degree murder is only 10 to 18 years, he is only getting 10. My sons name was Reed. He is with god now and is safe from his father. A week before he was shaken he went to the dr from being sick, later I found out he had been shaken and the dr didnt even notice. From my son being shaken again made things ten times worse. Of course the father never admitted to hurting our son, but everyone knows he hurt the baby. I am trying to get the word out on shaken baby syndrome and also Baby impact syndrome. Alot of DR. dont even recignize it when a child gos in for being sick. A lot of signes of sbs is vomitting, head tilt, lack of appitie etc. My son was vomiting a lot and thats why I took him to the Dr. and the stupid DR, didnt even know. Let everyone you know that plays with your child, or cares for your child what SBS is. Just be careful. If you think your child may have this go to the Dr and explain to him the situation and ask him to check. I am truely sorry to all those that have lost there child to SBS , and those that have survivors. Good luck and thanks for reading angels mom
