My husband has been suffering for a long time with belchin/retching in the early mornings (trapped air in the stomach). He is prone to acidity and gurgling/turbulence in the stomach late at night. He feels he needs to belch/retch to relieve the trapped air. It is bad after periods of tiredness and stress. Lying down seems to bring on the gurgling with some discomfort. He has noticed that if he gets coldness on the outside of his stomach this seems to aggravate the problem. He has had 4 episodes of sickness with bad cramps below the navel and slightly high temperature, no diarrhoea. These episodes have been two months apart and may not be related to the above problem. He has had a gastroscopy last week that revealed inflammation of the stomach. Has anyone else experienced such symptoms?
