My leg pains started at abt. 2 yrs. old as what my grandmother told me which involved the knee and below. She consulted a doctor and I was given unrecalled meds for the pain. About 5 y.o. i was hit by a car but on x-ray didn't reveal any fractures though I wasn't able t walk for a week w/c may just be due to shock. Anyways, as I grew older, this pain in the leg continued w/c was really worst on the left side though there are times that the right leg has pain too. At around 20's the leg pain still persisted and this time radiating to the buttocks and even sometimes there is this nagging pain in my left side from head to foot. I self medicated with different analgesics and NSAIDS which provided temporary relief but as the pains increased in intensity the drugs didn't help much. The drugs at times provide relief for a shorter period or there is still this nagging pain that won't go away. I sought consult and x-ray of the lumbar and pelvic area was done w/c revealed normal results. A neurologist was also consulted but just gave me an antidepressant w/c didn't provide any relief either. I tested my uric acid level too w/c was normal although about it is at the higher range. Just recently I had another lumbar xray and it only suggested pelvic instability. I'm 28 years old now, I'm 3kilos overweight and trying to lose it although I don't have a very active life. i seldom do exercises cause my leg won't last me that much. The pain is really much painful now and the nagging pain is there. Hope you can help me with this, thank you very much. Family hx of gouty arthritis(grandfather), endometrial CA(sister of grandma), DM( sister of granpa), HPN(grandpa). Thank you very much, any info would be appreciated.
