Dear MS or what: I just read your post and would like to comment. I have MS for over 27 years and I still look quite normal, actually I am quite fit looking and show nothing to the naked eye. I had passe all tests years ago and the medical community was so fearful of giving me a diagnoses that they send me to a psychiatrist which I later resented. It was year’s later (15) when I finally received my diagnoses of MS and when I did I thanked him! When I began going to neurologists it was nearly 31 year ago and all my charts and copies of visits are documented so I can say this as truth. There was no MRI nor was there the testing they have today so one had to seek advice of a neurologist who was knowledgeable and noted MS Specialist. Actually if a neurologist is so noted as a “specialist” he is therefore versed in watching their patient cautiously and not fully depending on any MRI. I am so sorry I wasted so much time trying to get a dx when if I had seen an MS Neurologist many things would have come to light. I had no clue I had anything remotely related to MS. Regards, Laura K.
