I can not find anyone that can tell me what is wrong with my husband. Since spring of 1999 he has been breaking out in large red whelts that resemble ringworm but they come and go all over his body. Along withthis he runs fever and has painful swelling in his hands, feet, or legs. At night he produces this very sour sweat. He has developed sleep apnea,and he rarely sleeps through the night. He is 41 years old and has high blood pressure. When he has these breakouts he says they are accompanied by a feeling of depression and fatigue, sometimes by muscle weakness. We have no idea what sort of specialist to see. Is the rash the problem or a sign of a problem.
