I had a gastric bypass in January of 99. I had complication after the surgery. The main problem after the surgery while still in the hospital was that my epaderial didn't work, so I was getting no pain medication. Next, they tried morphine,and tylox this gave me an extremely bad headache. My head hurt so bad I didn't not think I was going to live through it. I usually can handle a lot of pain but this was just unbearable. After a few days at home, I had bleeding from everywhere. That was caused by my blood thinner, my dose needed to be cut. Then after that I had problems with vomiting. That was caused by my asphogus not working correctly. That went on until a few months ago. I did loose 140 pounds though. I still have so much to loose, and am seriously thinking of having it done again, am I crazy? I see my mother and all her health problems and I just don't want to end up that way. I go back to my doctor the 22nd of this month to dicuss this. Please write back, I would love to hear from others who have had this same surgery.
