Am curious to find out how many nurses are with fms, seems like a lot. Did anyone come down with it after hep a or fluvax this year. Love to hear from you. Been a nurse 20 yrs., no pain meds given, I haved strongly medicated pts. with far less pain than we have. Rhuemo dr nice but keeps pffering anti infl. which I have tried to be fair, without luck, if I was a male with all this pain to where i have ataxia all the time, I would prob. be overmedicated. I crack up at drs. office with the little old ladies with osteoarthritis, weighing 80 lbs. and are on all kinds of meds. I am 39 and have a good pain tolerance.Maybe I need to find new doc. Have begged for vycodin just for 1 dose on rainy days. I thought the rationale was as longf as pt. had true pain, addiction wasn't a factor. I have never had any subs. abuse isssues, embarassed to say I hadn't had a true pe prior to this for 15 yrs.[exc. gyn]. Would love to hear from anyone with advice or knol. of good m.d. in nyc/westchester area. Good luck to all. ANNE
