I'm not sure if obesity and fibro are exactly related, but I do know that I have gained about 40 pounds since I began having problems with pain...subsequently being diagnosed with both lupus and fibromyalgia. Some of my meds list weight gain as a side effect. Also, I find it so much harder to be really active when I am having a really bad time with pain. (Which is almost all the time)I also tend to have swelling...Rheum. says it could be Fibro, it could be Lupus, it could be lupus arthritis and it could be meds, so go figure! LOL!
