I have had PCOS since I was 13 and I am now 37. I started with my period once in a blue moon. About 5 yrs ago it went the other way. I didn't stop spotting for over 2 yrs. Being a coward I didn't go to the doctor till I looked like a walking ghost. I have the gained weight, 8-10 lbs a yr since I was 16. Facial hair, boy do I have some. I have diabetes, cardiac and endometrial cancer in my family history making me a very high risk. I am on birth control that controls only my period, another high risk. I am depressed, over weight and all around ugggg. I have a doctor who is good but can't or won't do anything further. What I have found on the net is that they can only treat the symptoms as they occur and that not very good. I don't plan on having children. Has anyone had a hysterectomy to correct the overy pain and bleeding? I don't want to wait for endometrial cancer to get it like my mom did. Can any one help?
