Hello everyone,I can relate to all of your stories. This org. has alot of info.you may find helpful. I am looking for info. on any treatments that have been useful:traditonal and alternative medicine. I am presently headed for methyltrexate and want to know what results or side effects others have had with this drug. Has anyone used the new Rheumatoid drugs:Arava,Enbrel,etc.? I have also incorporated dietary changes, stress mgt., and some alternative methods.If you are interested contact me and I'll tell you what's helped me. Has anyone tried MSM? Any good results with it? I have had AS for 10 years. I was misdiagnosed for 9 of the ten. I had a back injury at the same time the disease symptoms began. I ended up with instability in both of my sacroiliac joints and L5-s1. I ended up having all three fused prior to knowing I had a disease that affects all of these areas and sometimes other jts. I could have been spared some unecessary and destructive surgeries. I guess I would be in a different positon if I hadn't undergone such drastic measures but the Drs.didn't pick it up and I did not know. It takes courage and strenght to keep up and accept the changes it can bring. Don't give up! I'll be glad to share what has worked for me and I would welcome the chance to hear from others what works for them and the symptoms they have. In some way it helps to know that what you are going through and sharing your experience, strenght and hope can help others. Kathy
