My daughter, my grandaughter and I have recently been diagnosed with a rare clotting disorder caused by a mutant gene. It is called 20210A. We would like to be in touch with anyone else that has this disorder since it is so rare and such a threat to our health. We would like to exchange information regarding physicians and treatments with anyone having the same or a similar disorder. My daughter has had 3 episodes of deep vein thrombosis and is on Coumadin as well. I would imagine that your friend has been told to be very careful not to fall as a blow to the head when you are on Coumadin can be much more significant than it is for the average person. Perhaps this is why she is not jogging now. My daughter finds that she tires out more easily now that she is on the Coumadin therapy. We are now investigating hematologists familiar with this disorder and the whole family is having to be tested. I do have a lot of information from the Internet and would like to as I said, exchange information with anyone with similar disorders.
