Here I am (originator of this message) in Aug. 2005 now, I had another episode with a clot and was put on a new thinner Lovenox. I really liked it much better than Warfarin, the only set back using this medicine is that it is subcutainious and I had hemotomas all over my abdomin. I did not have the side effects like I did with Warfarin, (loosing hair, my skin ultra-sensitive)but now I am back on it because I just got tired from the injections. Also, Lovenox is quite expensive and I don't think my insurence company liked me being on it long term. I found on my receip after receiving it that for a months worth of Lovenox cost around $3,000 and here I was paying my co-pay at $5.00. But as far as going with a natural remedy, I feel that it is too risky without having any indepth study on anything. So I just need to loose weight and possibly, hopefully go off blood thinners and take Ecotrin daily. As far as the depression I had, it was symptomatic due to the stress I was under at the time of the clot. I am cooping now real well with therapy, meds. and God.
