A friends mother had been having difficulty with blurred vision for several weeks so she saw her opthamologist. He told her that she had scratches on her corneas and that this was probably caused by sleeping with her eyes partcially open. She does have a history of dry eyes, but has anyone ever heard that sleeping with your eyelids partically open causing scratches to ones corneas? The doctor was puzzled and stated that this was the only explanation he could come up with. I would appreciate a response from anyone that has ever experienced this sort of situation. Thanks.
