My duaghter's periods started when she was 11 years old and have never stopped. She has a heavier period flow at that point in her cycle and she has bad cramps [I think that runs in the family] and then it slows down but not enough to not be able to be without a sanitary device all the time. She is able to use tampons during the heavier time, but she has to use sanitary pads the rest of that time. She is 20 in a couple of months, she has had two surgical proceedures done, the later was laser treatment on her cervix, done carefully so as to not affect her chances of conceiving a child. She suffers from depression quite badly and she thinks that the only answer may be a hysterectomy. It seems to be a very uncommon problem in our country for which no experts have any answers. It does not even have a name this ongoing condition. Does anyone know of anyone who has experienced a similiar problem and was there anything short of a hysterectomy to turn it off??? Margot
