16 years ago I had a Colonscopy and had 75 polyps in my colon, thus am tested every year....every time he has to take some out with a laser; sometimes I just have a few....this year I had 30. I can always know when the year is up because I bloat and have abdominal pain in the same place you described. The last 3 years he has gone down my throat and found some there also (I think it's an endiscopy) and he does them at the same time. This time he found a lot of bile in my stomache, and they are thinking I might have polyps in my gall bladder. That test is still to come. Also, since I had so many, he suggested my three grown children should be tested when they reach 40 yrs. Sure enough, my oldest son was tested and had to have some taken out. Mine and his were begnine, but if left in there, they will turn to cancer. my daughter turned 40 this year, but I can't convince her she needs to be tested. It's not a fun test, but better than having colon cancer. By the end of the year, I am so bloated, I look 9 months pregnant, and so nausiated I have to use Phenegran before I eat to keep my food down. I hope this information helps you. Laberta Wire
