My grandson is three and has been holding his stool for about a year now. We give him Kondramul three times a day plus children's Senokote laxative or he would never have a bowel movement. I feel it is almost ruining our lives, certainly his. On the days when he has to do a BM, he spends most of the time in fear-- holding back with all his might. The pediatrician says it will pass with time. Ten percent of the children hold their stool. Both of his parents are MDs and we have tried everything. I certainly understand your problem. Foods to eat-- squash helps with promoting the laxative effect. Good Luck!
